Greened surface
The front of the wall is equipped with plant troughs that enable permanent greening. The planting helps to bind particulate matter, reduce CO₂ and improve the microclimate.
Solid noise protection structure
The core of the wall consists of a sound-absorbing and sound-reflecting construction. This ensures a high level of acoustic effectiveness and meets all the requirements for modern noise protection in the traffic sector.
Water management and rainwater harvesting
The wall has integrated elements for the targeted drainage and storage of rainwater. In this way, the irrigation water is used efficiently for planting and the drainage system is relieved.

The company LACON Landschaftsconsult has collected the relevant data and confirmed in its report that the climatewall can represent a species protection measure worthy of recognition. Thanks to the modular design of the Klimawand, nesting aids can be integrated into the structure. This provides various species of birds, bats and insects with a habitat that they might otherwise lose due to large-scale expansion by us humans. The RAU® Alpine noise barrier also meets these requirements for species protection.
