Advantages of green noise barriers
Green noise barriers have a number of advantages. They create visual barriers between busy roads or industry and the surrounding area and protect residential areas from noise from car and rail traffic. The green noise barriers from RAU® are also 100 percent ecological. With its natural appearance, the noise barrier creates an ambience surrounded by plants and creates both visual and acoustic barriers.
What RAU® noise barriers offer
The noise barriers from RAU® noise barriers are convincing not only because of their low prices but also because of their sustainable properties. They are
- Reducing fine dust
- Low-care and low-maintenance
- inexpensive
- highly absorbent
- 100 % ecological
In order to build the right noise barrier for your needs, our engineers assess the conditions before construction begins. These include space, location and wall height. This allows us to plan and build a tailor-made, environmentally friendly noise barrier to suit your requirements.
What costs should you expect for your construction project? The price of the noise barrier depends on various factors, such as size, type of construction, difficulties during the construction process, but also which product you decide on.
What does a noise barrier cost?
The cost of your RAU® wall depends on a number of different factors. For a final price, you are welcome to consult our team of experts. We combine sustainable construction with attractive design and comprehensive technical knowledge. And that before, during and after the construction of your modular noise barrier. The green sound insulation is made of UV-safe materials and is particularly corrosion-resistant, saving you high maintenance costs. A sustainable investment in many respects.
What factors influence the cost of noise barriers?
Every building is unique and must be individually adapted to the surrounding conditions. This applies to houses as well as noise barriers. There are a number of factors that significantly influence the cost and duration of production and installation. These include
the model you have chosen
Dimensions and geometry
Type of foundation
the accessibility and accessibility of the building site
the condition of the subsoil
Climate and weather conditions such as wind and earthquake zones
Your RAU® product choice
At RAU® you can choose from various noise barriers that are adapted to the respective conditions on site and are therefore precisely tailored to the local requirements. The costs may vary depending on which climate control system you choose. We will work with you to find out which model best suits your requirements.
Dimensions and geometry of your sound insulation
Another important factor in determining the price is the dimensions and geometry of your chosen noise barrier. Depending on the surroundings, the substrate and the area requirements, we will adjust the length and height of the noise barriers for you. The number of corners can also play a role, as well as individual adjustments through height projections.
Type of foundation
As far as the type of foundation is concerned, you can choose between deep foundations and shallow foundations. While special foundation engineering machines are required to lay deep foundations - also known as pile foundations - and construction is therefore comparatively cost-intensive, shallow foundations are very inexpensive. Individual foundations are poured into a gravel base layer. The RAU® Climatewall flat foundation noise barrier is an example of a cost-effective variant of green noise barriers.
Accessibility during construction
Is the construction site of your noise barrier accessible with heavy earth-moving machinery? Or are the access and construction conditions more difficult, which is why alternative construction methods have to be used that require longer construction times? The cost of erecting your RAU® noise barrier depends on the accessibility of the ecological wall.
Other factors
In addition to the product you choose, the dimensions and geometry, the type of foundation and accessibility, other external factors are also included in the cost calculation:
Space conditions
How easy is it to erect the visual and acoustic barrier at the desired location?
Ground conditions
Which machines and foundations are required?
Wind zones
How will the weather conditions on site affect the future noise barrier?
Earthquake zones
Is the building site geographically located in an earthquake zone?
The RAU® climate wall: costs and benefits
The noise barrier up to twelve meters high RAU® Climate Wall noise barrier has the advantage that approx. 98 percent of the material used can be obtained directly at the construction site. Conversely, this means that transportation is inexpensive and you can already save costs here compared to other models and variants. This is another advantage of the RAU® climate control system: the short transportation routes result in a particularly low CO2 footprint. This means that you save both your wallet and – even more than with the other environmentally friendly variants – the environment.
The cost of your noise barrier: Your benefits with RAU® Geosystems
As each noise barrier is planned, produced and installed individually, the prices also vary. It is therefore not possible to give a general answer to the question of costs. We would be happy to advise you on general questions or plan your specific and customized noise barrier with you. You are welcome to use our contact form or give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
