Since our foundation more than 20 years ago, RAU® has combined effective noise protection with sustainability. Without exception, our green noise barriers are climate-friendly, are produced in a resource-saving manner and are also highly absorbent. In addition to a positive CO₂ balance, RAU® noise barriers alsodemonstrably contribute to the protection of native fauna. This was recently confirmed by the engineering firm Lacon Landschaftsconsult, which examined on our behalf whether RAU® Climatewall and RAU® Alpin can constitute measures worthy of recognition under species protection law.
Landschaftsconsult Lacon is an engineering firm specializing in landscape and open space planning. The company is active throughout Germany and, in addition to traditional tasks in the sector, also carries out ecological surveys and also specializes in monitoring. The aim of this study was to find out whether and, if so, to what extent noise barriers from RAU® contribute to species protection. The engineers from Lacon came to the conclusion: Yes! RAU® Climatewall and Alpin are not only highly effective noise barriers, they can also provide nesting sites for various animals.
