Noise barrier in Alpen (NRW) East

Noise barrier for new development area Alpen (NRW) East

Residential developments and access roads are being built in the eastern part of the municipality of Alpen. The planted RAU® Monolith noise barrier is intended to protect against external disturbance factors. At the same time, it fits in visually with the planned park between the noise barrier and the residential area.

Job details & challenges:

A new residential area has been built in the eastern part of the municipality of Alpen and we were given the task of taking care of the noise protection, which is around 380 m long and 5.7-9.4 m high. This height presented challenges that our team was able to overcome successfully. The wall was supplemented with stone baskets to break up the overall picture.

Project objective:

The aim was to erect a high noise barrier that would not be perceived as a disruptive factor and would later blend in beautifully with the landscape thanks to the greenery.
