Construction of a 400 meter long and 3 meter high green RAU® climatewall between the freeway and an adjacent residential area in Baden-Baden. The aim is to effectively reduce noise while at the same time adding ecological and design value.

Job details & challenges:

The contract included the planning, delivery and construction of a modular, plantable noise barrier. Particular challenges were posed by the local topography, limited space and the need to carry out the construction work quickly and with minimal disruption to traffic flow.

Project objective:

Reduction of traffic noise for local residents and the creation of an ecologically valuable structure that blends harmoniously into the existing environment and serves as a refuge for flora and fauna.
