Climatewall Ilmenaugarten

The RAU® Climatewall Ilmenaugarten - Sustainable noise protection with exemplary character

The RAU® climatewall was erected over a length of 850 m and a height of 4 m between the Ilmenaugarten development area and the adjacent railroad line. The modular, trapezoidal noise barrier uses local excavated material and does not require deep foundations.

Rail traffic is a significant source of noise – especially in residential areas, this can lead to health problems such as sleep disorders and stress. In order to permanently protect the new Ilmenaugarten residential area from the effects of rail noise, an innovative, sustainable noise protection solution was implemented: the RAU® climatewall – an ecological overall concept with outstanding acoustic properties.
