Sustainable noise protection for youth soccer

RAU® Climatewall at TuS Blau-Weiß Lohne

A successful project in Lohne, Lower Saxony, shows how intensive training operations and peace and quiet in the neighborhood can be combined: together with the Blau-Weiß Lohne gymnastics and sports club, RAU® has built a noise protection climatewall around 200 meters long, achieving a real sustainability hat trick. The green climate wall, filled with excavated soil directly from the construction site, not only absorbs noise, but also makes a valuable contribution to climatewall through long-term CO₂ sequestration thanks to its planting. The project was a milestone for the club: the noise barrier was a prerequisite for the approval of the urgently needed new artificial turf pitch, which will significantly expand the training facilities in future. At the same time, the good relationship with the local residents is maintained, despite the fact that the pitch is in use. Thanks to the close cooperation with the RAU® team, the wall was erected quickly and cost-effectively, without any concrete or plastic, but with clear ecological added value. An all-round sustainable solution for sport, the environment and the neighborhood. Sustainable noise protection: association installs green climatewall
